City of love as they say, Paris was indeed fun. From the emblematic buildings, ancient masterpieces through to reviving riverside walk along the Seine and the thrillingly beautiful views from the Eiffel, Paris has it all.
Now when it comes to travel, it also comes down to – we need good outfits! We girls know it. Haha. I wanted to keep it plain yet elegant. On day 1, as we had Eiffel Tower-The symbol of love, in our minds, I picked Red- the colour of love. It was sunny as well. My ever lasting love for mini skirts made me pick my red half-denim mini skirt, which I paired up with a body hugging black top. Red and black combo has always been my favourite. Red gives it a feminine touch and black makes it classy.
There is no better way to explore a city than walking. Day 1 was all about soaking in the city, walking along The Sienne river and capturing memories on our way to Eiffel. I must say the city has a charm. We landed up at The Pont de Bir-Hakeim bridge or The inception bridge as you may call it, the dream building scene in the movie INCEPTION was shot there. (If you remember, haha). Just a stone’s throw away from the Eiffel, the impressive architecture of this bridge is worth a trip.
Food wise, we mostly ate street side food to save time as we were targeting to reach Eiffel by 3:30pm. The plan was to be able to enjoy the view from Eiffel both in the daylight and moonlight. And we were indeed able to after waiting in the queue for at least an hour. We reached the top by 5:30ish. The view was simply remarkable, BREATHTAKING is the word. No it is not hyped at all. The place has a very different vibe to it. Very soothing and Surreal! Not only the view, but we also witnessed couples madly in love. Some truest outpouring of emotions, with coolest breeze coupled with a mesmerizing view makes it an evening worth remembering.
We concluded our day with some chilling alongside the river near Eiffel. Something very interesting caught our eyes at around 1:30 am. Eiffel tower turned pink for a few seconds and we were lucky enough to capture it! We were told that it only happens in the night around that time. So take a note of this, if you want to see Eiffel in different shades.
